Performance "Neverlost in Kuhasalo"

The performer walks barefoot and blindfolded by the newly built road into the wild nature. Over 2 km long.

"After walking the road my brain could sense nothing more than an even layer of crushed stones - through touch, sound, smell. Walking more by the path, I collected feelings of sorrow and desperation inside my body. Forest became roughly divided into the territory of humans and the territory of Nature. Segregation here was seen as a way of accessibility, as a way to use the forest as a green gym or a comfortable scenery to the fireplace where we fry sausages.

My visibility is dramatically cut, I can see only my toes, but thanks to the new road, I have no chance to get lost in Kuhasalo."

Performance "I take it with me"

The performer travels from Oulu to Oslo (about 1400 km) by bus, airplanes, and train. There is no other luggage than two birch logs

(weight 13 and 12 kg).

"My performance started at home preparing to leave. I cooked dinner for my family and left with logs to the bus stop. I posted on social media about the progress.

My audience was online. On the bus, no one noticed, that I am on a performance mission. At the airport, the staff was amused, a young woman on a train asked

to take a picture of my bags. 2 days later I told about my journey at the Performance Art Oslo festival and finished up by standing outside and holding logs for about 20 minutes. I returned home without logs."

When leaving our country, family, and past, what do we take with us?

Performance "Opposite Kathy"

(Multa Katrriina)

Long durational exploration of body and behavior creativity.

The performer is aligned backward and invited to use the body's peripheral side

as a frontal.

We are crazy about food and food ideologies. About food rituals. About food information. We have plans for eating better. Or eating less... The performer erases identities of nutrition supplies and brings to the kitchen space only mud.

Plenty of mud.
